My Family

Doug and I have five children: Gabby, Faith, Ariel and twins-Paulie and Tony. We are the American family: his, mine and ours! And, I'm so glad because up until I married Doug, Gabby was my only child. Now she has sisters and a brother to share her life with.

The Lomas Family

I am a second generation Mexican born in the United States. My ancestors come from Spain, Italy, France and Mexico. I grew up the youngest of four children in a small town in South Texas. Our parents had an eighth grade education. My father was a carpenter, and my mother worked retail and eventually became a nurse's aide. They both worked hard to provide for us. Though we grew up poor in material items, we never went without food and clothing. My fondest childhood memories were of my parents planning two-week vacations most every summer. Some were even out of state. We had so much fun!

My father, Jose, died in 2002 from a sudden massive heart attack at the age of 68. My mother, Paulita, died in 2004 from cancer at the age of 70. Their deaths were unexpected. I miss them very much!
